Canadian Law Enforcement Training College was established in 1985 and provided education in Law Enforcement and Police Studies. The college is registered and approved as a private career college under the Private Career Colleges Act in Ontario. The college has branches in Toronto and Mississauga.

Police Foundation Program prepares students for a policing and law enforcement career. The program aims to provide academic knowledge, physical training, and psychological preparation. The program is divided into Communication, Human Behavioural, Law Administration, and Police-Specific modules. These modules are designed to provide in-depth training and knowledge in the respective sector. The communication module focuses on such areas as computer applications, effective communication in law enforcement, and dynamics. It is a 10-month long program. The same program will take 2 years to complete in a public college. The quality of training meets the standards set by the Ministry.
Graduates can apply for jobs requiring Peace Officer status in Federal, Provincial, and Municipal Police Services in Ontario. Law Enforcement jobs are also available in Metro Toronto Police, court houses, airports, correctional services, customs, armored vehicles, and government buildings.
