The Dominion Herbal College is a college accredited by Private Post Secondary Education Commission - Province of British Columbia, Canada. Dr. Herbert Nowell, a Naturopathic Physician in Vancouver, B.C., founded the college in 1926. The college intends to show the way in the real North American Herbal Tradition and promote interschool cooperation and harmony with Herbal groups locally, nationally, and internationally. Dominion Herbal College is a Member of the Canadian Herbalists Association of British Columbia. Students graduating from some of the programs offered by the college are entitled to memberships at this association as well as other herbal associations.
The basic objective of Dominion Herbal College is to conserve and foster the study of Herbal Medicine. It aims to educate the students to be proficient professionals in the field of herbal therapy. The college believes in maintaining close ties with other health care professionals. The college aims to advance health, lessen human suffering, minimize the expense of upholding health, encourage passion about the use of herbs, treat each patient with care, promote clinical research, and exchange of ideas among students, herbalists, patients, and other health professionals.
