The Hair Art Academy was founded by Elke Tobisch Ross in 1994 in response to an acute shortage of professionally qualified and well trained hair stylists. The Hair Art Academy is accredited by the Private Career Training Institution Agency [PCTIA]. The school has two branches, in South Surrey and Westminster, British Columbia. The school has evolved into one of the leading hair styling schools in Canada. The faculty is made up of licensed and expert professionals who impart the latest skills and knowledge required for professional success.
The Hair Art Academy offers full-time, part-time, and flexi-hairdressing diploma programs with a duration of 39 weeks. The students need to have a creative flair as well as an aptitude for hairstyling. The students are given hands-on training in the continually developing techniques to make an impact in the cosmetology market.

Students are taught in an atmosphere that is conducive to learning and developing their talents.
