The International Academy of Hair Design currently operates two branches in the province of Ontario. It is recognized as a Private Career College and offers a range of courses in various aspects of hair styling and esthetics. The academy currently has a 100% placement rate for all its graduates.
Classes at the International Academy of Hair Design are available in both day and night schedules with classes limited to 6 to 8 students per class. This guarantees individual attention for each student. Courses are carried out in state-of-the art training facilities and are taught in a way to encourage both creativity and innovation in students. Payment plans are available and students can start their own business while taking a course at the academy.
The International Academy of Hair Design offers both part time and full time courses in haircutting, coloring, facials, manicures, pedicures, waxing and permanent make-up. Refreshment courses are also available. Students are also trained to work on actual clients and perform treatments under supervision. This gives students a feel for the practical nature of hair design and esthetic work and exposes them to a wide range of people. This makes them aware of subtleties like hair movement, chemical changes and textures that can't be learnt otherwise.
Apart from the course basics, students will also learn about on-the-job professionalism as well as the basics of salon management. All graduates are given job placement assistance on course completion.
