Profile of Career College/Trade School
Recently, Kriska was named as one of Canada’s 50 best-managed companies. The corporation was established in 1978 in Ontario. The company operates over 1000 trailers and 380 tractors. There are over 400 drivers working in the organization, most of whom have taken the training program offered by Kriska Training System. The program comprises of both classroom theoretical learning as well as practical training in line with the requirements of the industry and the Government. The training is conducted with the objective of equipping the student with necessary skills enabling them to get employment. Students trained by Kriska Training System are absorbed in the corporation’s transport and logistics businesses. The school also helps students make a career decision on whether they want to become a professional driver. When a student applies for enrolling in the training program, he is put through an on-line skill assessment test that can be used to make that decision. The school conducts training 5 days a week over six weeks. Once the training is complete, the student will have a thorough knowledge of not just driving in various environments such as highways and city roads, but also get an understanding of the various laws and regulations that govern truck driving in Canada. One of the best thing about this college is that students get individual training and not in groups. Therefore students can learn at their own pace, taking more time in areas where they are not confident. The instructors at this college are experienced and certified to offer high standard of training.
