Liaison College in Brampton and Vaughan is one of the nine schools under the Liaison College banner offering training programs to chefs and cooks. The diploma programs are designed to equip the students with skills that are important in the demanding culinary industry. In order to give the students individual attention, the class size is kept small at about 15 students. More then seventy percent of the training involves practical instructions which gives the students hands-on experience even while training. Students can opt for basic cooking course or an advanced course wherein students are given understanding of basic nutrition, kitchen management, culinary techniques, and basic food theory and quantity food preparation. The college also offers short term four week culinary classes to those who want to learn cooking under the Home Chef Skills Series. It also organizes one day cooking programs on special occasions such as Mother’s Day. The Liaison College has a Career Action Plan Services which provides assistance to students to get started in the industry. The Walk About program initiated by the college guarantees a one year placement. The college has now started some certificate programs for wide ranging subjects including professional service techniques, food service worker, and patisserie certificate. The Liaison College- Brampton Campus and Vaughan Campus also has special events such as the customer appreciation events where a group of individuals can learn how to cook good food as well as enjoy eating it.
