Established in 1994, the Majestany Institute initially offered courses in hairstyling. Later, this Canada career college stepped into the field of aesthetics as well. Today, the Majestany Institute offers courses in hairstyling, aesthetics, nail technology, and cosmetology. The Majestany Institute has three campuses situated in Miramichi, Saint John, and Fredericton.
The Majestany Institute has been accredited by Training and Employment Development Department, New Brunswick Student Loans Department, NB Association of Career Colleges, and Cosmetology Association of New Brunswick. The institute has received numerous awards and recognitions for its Aesthetics courses. Enrolments for each of the courses at Majestany are held twice every year.
The Majestany Hairstyling Program offers theoretical courses in shampooing, styling techniques, personality development, coloring, hair chemistry, scalp treatment, perming and curling, hair cutting and texturizing, extensions, and braids. You will also get training in how to start your own hairstyling salon. You can work in merchandising, manufacturing, and competition areas after completing the course.
The Aesthetic Program at the college enables students to work as salon managers, trainers, and guest artists or even start a salon or aesthetic training school. Freelance writing for magazines and newspapers is also an option. The Nail Technology Program imparts training that helps students work as nail technician, salon owner, and guest artist.
