The RSH International College of Cosmetology offers students a full-time as well as a shorter brush-up program for previously trained or licensed persons. Both of these programs are recognized by Pivot Point International and the Cosmetologists' Industry Association of BC. It is a provincially accredited private college, and successful graduates receive a Pivot Point International certificate. The RSH International College of Cosmetology offers day programs that work from Monday to Friday between 8.30 am and 4 pm. The full-time course takes about 10 months to complete and the brush-up course between 6 and 8 months. The training provided makes it easy for students to complete the Provincial Hairdressing License Examination conducted by the Cosmetologist' Board of Examiners. The RSH International College of Cosmetology operates from 3 locations, in Richmond, Maple Ridge, and New Westminster. All its programs have financial aid options such as the Canada Student Loan Program and Bank of Montreal Student Line of Credit Students are provided excellent hands-on training. Audio-visual presentations, lectures, and demonstrations prepare the students for examinations both written and practical. The RSH International College of Cosmetology assigns 5 students per instructor, limiting the number of graduates each year to 25 students from each of its branches. Students are trained not only in hairstyling but also in permanent waving, coloring, bleaching, straightening, and cleansing and are taught to maintain good standards of hygiene and sanitation.
