RV Refrigeration Services is a private career college that was established by Mr. Steve Cormier about 12 years ago. It is one of Canada's largest cooling systems remanufactures. The institution offers the only registered and regulated absorption refrigeration training course in Canada. Students can opt for a four week program or for a 12 week program. The four week program has duration of 160 hours and the 12 week program has duration of 480 hours. In order to be eligible for any of the programs students are required to have a Grade 10 certificate. RV Refrigeration Services offers a four week program for students who have basic knowledge and skills in electrical and welding. The 12 week program is for students who desire an in-depth hands-on experience in electrical and welding. The programs train students in chemicals and safety procedures to be followed while rebuilding. They are also trained in the operation of cooling systems and how to deal with them when they fail to operate. They are given adequate instruction in rebuilding procedures such as removal, recharging, and testing. They are also taught sandblasting and painting as well as refoaming and installation. RV Refrigeration Services training programs ensures that students are familiar with the various models, their parts, operations, problems and solutions on how to fix the problems. They are trained in marketing their business, soliciting clients and students have to rebuild a cooling system. They are also given training in the duties of servicing all parts of gas refrigerators. Students who successfully complete all programs receive a diploma as well as gain the confidence to service any gas refrigerator.
