The Victoria College of Art is a practical post-secondary school founded on drawing, painting, two- and three- dimensional design, art history and associated disciplines. It aims to provide superior quality programs to train artists for a professional career. The college provides each of its students the chance to excel in a non-competitive environment dominated by a good deal of analytical conversation, and high standards of personal expectations.
The Victoria College of Art is known to have small size classes, talented and proficient teachers and a varied program based upon studio courses. It is a non-profit, independent college catering to 130 full-time students each year in the Diploma program. It also has a part-time enrollment of 800 students annually and an international student population of 5,000.
The Victoria College of Art offers excellent studio-based Fine Arts programs. The 3-year Diploma Program bestows each student with the attention that is required for them to excel in their field. Most of the work is hands on. Thus the practical exposure is more. The 1-year Post-Graduate Study Program endows the students with an opportunity to discover their potential talents further with Canada's top artists and teachers. The college also offers evening classes and summer studio programs. The college provides its students with scholarship, bursaries and cash awards.
