With a broad range of staff experience and state-of-the-art instrumentation, we provide cross-analytical solutions for the Environmental, Energy, Mining, Transportation, Industrial, Agri-food and Life Sciences sectors.


Responsibilities

Field Responsibilities:

  • Perform monthly air quality equipment calibrations according to Alberta Environment standards
  • Maintain air quality monitoring equipment and related supplies
  • Perform annual and bi-annual wind calibrations
  • Perform AQM data back-ups to disk
  • Troubleshooting Air Quality Monitoring Equipment problems
  • Interact with AGAT clients regarding Air Quality Monitoring (AQM) and other related AGAT services
  • Installation of Air Quality Monitoring Stations
  • Installation of wind tower on Air Quality Monitoring Stations
  • Available to be On-Call after regular work hours
  • Driving frequently and on occasion for long hours; may require overnight stay
  • Scheduling of monthly maintenance and calibration of Air Quality Monitoring Stations
  • Maintain all safety equipment
  • Tool box maintenance (keep an inventory)
  • Truck maintenance (Insurance & Registration current) o Know how to check fluids, tire pressure, lights, safety checks, etc. o Submit "used oil" at time of oil change to Tribology lab for analysis o Keep current maintenance records in truck
  • Shop and Air Quality Monitoring Station cleanliness
  • Winter - snow removal from around Air Quality Monitoring Stations as needed Administrative Responsibilities:
  • Provide monthly calibration reports
  • Provide annual and bi-annual wind calibration reports
  • Review company policies and procedures
  • Timesheets - to be completed on the weekly basis
  • Expense accounts - to be done monthly and handed in no later than the 3rd of every month
  • Meal allowance - how it works and how it is applied
  • Must indicate where you are working for the day and when you are expected to return
  • When working the field, must check messages at least 3 times daily
  • Photocopier & Fax machine operation
  • Any other duties as requested by the Management Team.

  • Experience and Qualifications

    Qualifications:

  • High School diploma plus post-secondary education in electronics, electrical, programming, IT or communications.
  • Class 5 driver's license with clean abstract
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to lift 50 pounds
  • Knowledge of AGAT operating procedures
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Able to work as a team or independently
