Responsibilities

Job Description Job Title: Sales Account Manager Reports To: Regional VP, West Region Business Unit/Function: Worldwide Sales Career Band: Job Track: Position Location: Alberta Providence, Canada Number of Direct Reports: 0 FLSA Status: Exempt Position Summary: This incumbent can be located in the Alberta providence. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating revenue by closing sales; selling products and services directly to end users primarily via face-to-face contact; responsible for moderately complex and somewhat difficult to close sales; operates under general supervision and job will require a high level of travel. This position reports to the Regional VP for the West region. Essential Job Functions/Accountabilities: 80%

  • Performs sales activities for new and renewal business for an assigned geographic area or product/service line to achieve or exceed assigned revenue objectives
  • Contacts and visits prospective customers to determine needs
  • Creates and performs sales presentations to match company's products/services with identified needs
  • Sells products/services through face-to-face contact
  • Remains knowledgeable of company's products/services to facilitate sales efforts
  • Maintains sales records and prepares sales reports as required
  • Often responsible for the moderately complex and somewhat difficult to close sales 20%
  • Maintains regular contact with customers to ensure satisfaction
  • Maintains a regular schedule of contact via phone/on-site visits
  • Alerts clients to new or improved products/services
  • Develops relationships with clients
  • Relays client feedback to product development staff

  • Experience and Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent training in engineering, business, or sales management.
  • 3 - 6 years of sales experience
  • Strong knowledge of company's products/services and pricing practices
  • Excellent selling skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional appearance and presentation required
  • Must have knowledge of utilizing PC and various software applications
  • Heavy telephone usage
  • Travel is required
