BC Public Service Ministry of Children and Family Development Fort Nelson Social Program Officer - Child Protection Salary $50,371.66 - $66,652.94 annually plus an Isolation Allowance Are you a skilled Social Worker interested in working in a beautiful region of BC? Travel, experience and learn as you use your education and experience to develop vital family and children services. As a Child Protection Worker, through assessment and collaboration, you develop plans with families to ensure the safety of children and youth. Your skill set will include interviewing clients, evaluating vulnerability factors, investigating child welfare reports and determining a plan of action including family support services. Experience and Qualifications

- BSW or MSW; OR BA Child and Youth Care; or M.Ed. Counselling/MA Clinical Psychology having completed a practicum in family and child welfare. - The ideal candidate will have previous experience in Child Protection and preferably a Child Welfare Specialization from an accredited University, having completed their practicum in a child welfare setting. Previous experience working with Aboriginal communities would be an asset. - Must possess and maintain a valid BC Driver's licence
