BC Public Service Ministry of Children and Family Development Haida Gwaii/Queen Charlotte Child and Youth Mental Health Clinician Salary $60,601.36 - $68,703.82 annually - SPO 25 Salary $61,839.99 -$81,167.46 annually - Nurse 7 An important role and an opportunity to make a real difference in this amazing part of British Columbia As an integral member of a multi-disciplinary Community Mental Health Team and in coordination with other community agencies and professionals, you will provide a range of mental health services to children, youth and their families, when the child or youth is suffering from serious emotional, psychological, behavioural or psychiatric illness. As the Child and Youth Mental Health Clinician, you provide direct clinical services such as intake, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention for children and youth. Consulting with community agencies, schools, hospitals, and other ministry programs, you understand the importance of being involved in community education, development, coordination and prevention/early intervention programs. You build and maintain relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders in the community to ensure that the conflicts are resolved and appropriate outcomes are achieved. Experience and Qualifications

-MSW (Clinical Specialization or equivalent training/education), Masters in Nursing, M.ED (Counselling), MA (Clinical Psychology), MFT (Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy), Master's Degree in Child and Youth Care or comparable graduate degree at Master's level. NOTE: If your degree was obtained outside of Canada, you must confirm that it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services. Confirmation for equivalency for your degree is required for you to be considered. Please indicate in your resume (cut and paste a copy of the approval. If in progress proof must be provided on or by the closing date of the competition) Applicants need to clearly demonstrate they have two (2) years (recent i.e. last 5 years) clinical experience working in child and youth mental health services, with responsibility for providing a wide range of community based mental health services.
