Internal Communications Coordinator Salary $48,942.48 - $55,662.83 annually Temporary Assignment until March 31, 2015 A unique opportunity to apply your skills and passion for organizational communications and engagement People & Workplace Initiatives, the strategic human resources branch in the Ministry of Education, provides leadership in the development of a healthy organizational culture, and is the lead on internal communications. The branch is part of the Partner Relations division, who works with partner organizations to proactively align Ministry and sector priorities in support of the public interest, and builds a shared vision for a transformed education system. Applying your comprehensive knowledge of effective communication principles and techniques, you prepare communication plans and materials, including announcements, intranet pages, employee surveys, communications on behalf of executive and staff, and much more. Your internal communications plans and strategies align with the vision and goals of the Ministry and support the successful implementation of corporate priorities. You are a strategic and innovative thinker, able to look for new ways to develop, plan and implement successful communication approaches to support goals in the Ministry. Creative and flexible, you are able to balance multiple priorities and achieve results while working to tight timelines. Experience and Qualifications

- Degree, diploma or formal course work in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English or equivalent. - One year of experience working in an internal communications capacity, with responsibility for developing and implementing communication strategies. - Experience writing and editing communications materials. - Experience managing projects, responding to changing priorities and meeting demanding deadlines.
