Overview Volunteer as a Vision Mate! Vision mate volunteers help people who are blind or partially sighted to be independent by providing one-on-one sighted assistance. We are currently recruiting volunteers for this rewarding and flexible position who live in the City of Peterborough, Lindsay, Oshawa and Whitby.

Responsibilities Visits are scheduled once a week for a couple of hours to assist with reading, organizing, errands and going for walks.

Experience and Qualifications Trustworthy, patient, empathetic and friendly Reliable, organized and able to work with minimal supervision Excellent communication skills Very strong English skills or willing to be matched with a client who speaks your native language
