Overview Many consumers are frustrated in their attempts to affect change in the marketplace. NYCO was created as an opportunity for consumers aged 18 to 35 to voice their concerns, speak with industry/policy makers and volunteer with the Consumers Council of Canada in an attempt to affect consumer policy and regulation.

Responsibilities As a young consumers branch of the Consumers Council of Canada, NYCO members meet online to discuss marketplace issues, volunteer for CCC committees and learn of training opportunities as consumer representatives.
NYCO members are expected to participate actively in online discussions and events.

Experience and Qualifications Volunteers must be Ontario residents, 18 to 35 years of age and have an interest in consumer advocacy.
