Overview

Manage daily operations and assist with development and implementation of Environmental business plans.


Responsibilities

  • Continue to build a safety-first culture.
  • Work with MA GM and Sales staff in Calgary to develop the reclamation & remediation business, primarily in SE Sask. and North Dakota.
  • Determining strategic locations for waste consolidation for disposal bin and NORM handling operations.
  • Developing strategic relationships with customers, transport, disposal and environmental construction companies.
  • Work with Operations Managers from other regions and General Manager to forecast project resource requirements.
  • Work with GM to review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
  • Assist in the development of new business lines such as well abandonment, decommissioning and cut & cap work.
  • Hire and develop operational personnel as required. Develop policies, procedures and training programs.
  • Develop relationships with Secure team to help enhance the waste container business.
  • Develop strong relationships with regulators and insure compliance.

  • Experience and Qualifications

  • A minimum 7 years' management experience in the environmental field
  • University or College degree in Environmental Science or related discipline
  • Waste management and Petroleum industry experience would be considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Team player
  • Works well under pressure and detail oriented
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude and willing to learn
