Overview

The Women's Studies Program at McGill University's Institute for Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies (IGSF) invites applications for a Faculty Lecturer to begin in August, 2011. This is a 12-month contract (academic staff position). Office space will be provided at IGSF.


Responsibilities

Teaching load will normally not exceed eight (undergraduate and graduate) courses per year, including the repetition of some courses. Other responsibilities include participation on the Women's Studies Advisory Committee and relevant sub-committees.


Experience and Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a PhD degree in a field pertinent to Women's Studies and a proven record of excellence in teaching. The candidate will be able to engage actively with scholars and students across a wide range of research interests and be willing to play a role in the further development of the Women's Studies programs at McGill University, and in the intellectual life of the Institute for Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies.
