Responsibilities

Job Description: MedAxio is looking for Health Service Professionals in the St-John, NB area. If you are currently a Registered Nurse, LPN (Auxiliary Nurse), Paramedic or Medical Laboratory Technician, we have the perfect opportunity for you! As a mobile Health Professional, your primary responsibility would be to conduct an independent medical evaluation of applicants for life insurance. Your main responsibilities would be to :

  • Set appointments with the applicants and meet them, at their home or work place, to conduct the evaluation;
  • Gather information on the proposed insured's medical history as well as their physical health data based upon a questionnaire developed and supplied by their respective insurance company.
  • Provide different services depending on the age and the size of the policy that the client applied for, such as recording vital signs, collecting body fluid specimens (blood, urine) and doing ECGs.
  • Ensure a good and efficient communication with MedAxio regarding the status of the cases.

  • Experience and Qualifications

    Conditions :

  • Work as "independent contractors".
  • Flexibility - YOU decide how many hours you are available and what is the volume of examination services you wish to complete every week.
  • You are paid for every service provided and the wages are based on a fee schedule for every service.
  • Compensation for mileage ($0,45/km)
  • Aeroplan program awards for every service completed under the MedAxio Guarantee. For this position, you must :
  • Have a current license or registration to validate your appropriate expertise
  • Have phlebotomy skills (min. 6 months experience)
  • Have the desire to complete medical examinations with Human Caring
  • Have strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Be available to work daytime, evening or week-end hours
  • Have access to a computer and email or fax machine
  • Have a valid driver license and access to an automobile
