Overview

This position is responsible for reservations and sales functions.


Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to provide world-class customer service and sales excellence to clients with very high expectations. This position involves describing various resort packages and answering detailed questions, communicating reservation policies and procedures, assisting with travel options, collecting payments, and tracking guest accounts. Involves coordination of client requests with other resort departments. There will be extensive guest correspondence and interaction, from first contact to departure, and follow up after the trip. Also responsible for various clerical tasks associated with the reservations such as filing, credit card authorization, administering legal documents. Guest accounting functions include taking advance payments and providing receipts, posting and transferring charges, and conducting necessary paperwork related to corrections, adjustments, posting of charges. Coordination of reservations includes both winter helicopter skiing and summer accommodation bookings.


Experience and Qualifications

  • 2 to 5 years experience in customer service, sales, reservations and guest relations.
  • A certificate or diploma in a related field preferred.
  • Experience in all aspects of customer service excellence including hospitality industry principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
  • Effective verbal and written communications with attention to detail, accuracy and efficiency.
  • Professional email and telephone communications and the ability to effectively provide customer service and close sales via both incoming and outgoing calls.
  • Able to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment.
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a team-based working environment.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with guests, groups, fellow employees and stakeholders.
  • Ability to explain and enforce terms and conditions, including exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills.
  • High level of proficiency with resort booking software, customer relationship management software, MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Ability to coordinate and organize meetings, exhibits, and other events.
  • Must have a strong knowledge of written and spoken English.
  • Knowledge of a second language (preferably German): spoken & written is an asset.
  • Ski industry knowledge.
  • Dynamic and energetic personality.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • This position is long term.
