Business Application Analyst Salary $48,942.48 - $55,662.83 annually Temporary Opportunity until October 1, 2014 - this opportunity may be extended. An excellent opportunity to apply your software management skills and gain valuable career building experience The Plant and Animal Health Branch supports the sustainability of animal and plant agriculture, while serving to protect the well-being of the people of the province through surveillance, regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and the development of strategies to address identified risks. The Plant and Animal Health Branch consists of three key programs: The Animal Health Centre, the Livestock Management and Regulatory Unit, and the Plant Health Unit. As the Business Application Analyst, you support program areas in the design, development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement and maintenance of business applications to meet current and future business needs. Working in a fast paced and collaborative team environment, you help to determine how business applications can be integrated into program operations by conducting business process reviews to identify and recommend changes and improvements. This is a multifaceted role for a business professional with database management experience and expertise in diagnostic laboratory software systems. You are an excellent communicator, able to develop effective training materials and provide expertise on numerous software programs. This is a challenging role for an innovative self-starter with the skills required to gather and analyze data, upgrade and maintain systems and troubleshoot application issues. Experience and Qualifications

In order for applicants to be considered for this position, their resume must clearly demonstrate that they have the following:

  • A diploma in business or public administration or program related area and a minimum of 1 year of related experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered such as a certificate in related discipline and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or secondary school graduation and a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
