Archivist Salary $2,235.87 - $2,554.80 bi-weekly Temporary Assignment until January 30th 2015 An excellent opportunity to use your information management expertise in a client-focused environment Information Access Operations (IAO) is a corporate information management organization providing records management and freedom of information services to BC government ministries and other public bodies. IAO's records management services include: operational policy, standards, procedures, advice and training; records classification and scheduling systems; records management system implementation, support and administration; contracted records storage, retrieval and destruction services; and archival appraisal and selection. The focus of the Archivist position is to develop integrated records classification and scheduling systems for client ministries; appraise the information holdings of these ministries to determine which records will ultimately be destroyed and which will be selectively or fully retained as archives; and review and select specific sets of records for transfer to the government archives. If you have related education, archival appraisal and information management experience, and the ability to provide clear and concise advice to a variety of government stakeholders, we look forward to your application.
