Responsibilities

New York Institute of Technology is seeking a Temporary Career & Alumni Coordinator for its Vancouver Campus. The Coordinator 's Responsibilities will include but is not limited to supporting increased opportunities with employers, alumni and friends of NYIT and implementing the Employer and Alumni Relations plans for the university; collaborate with the Academic Support Coordinator in the delivery of the Career Services educational offerings to students, such as resume preparation skills, workplace expectations, skills for successful interviews; develop and manage relationships with all internal and external stakeholders, including employers, students, alumni, donors and volunteers. The position will be responsible for developing communication efforts, planning and hosting events, identifying potential employers, assisting students with job placement and managing related projects.


Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience in career services, alumni affairs, higher education, relationship management, recruitment, marketing/communications, human resources or related field required; master's degree preferred. Excellent interpersonal, communication, event planning, project management and computer skills also required (MS Suite and database programs); experience working with employer development and recruitment preferred; ability to manage multiple projects and programs independently and ability to deal with a complex changing environment are essential; ability to work occasional evenings/weekends is required; knowledge of student immigration regulations is a plus.
