Overview

Reporting directly to the Director of Operation, the Training Coordinator will be responsible for implementing and delivering training programs within Paladin Security Group Ltd, Calgary branch. Essential Job Functions

  • Coordinate the training process including a needs assessment, development, delivery, and evaluation
  • Deliver companywide training courses using training mediums including employee handbooks, PowerPoint presentations, classroom sessions and e-learning modules
  • Coordinate with Senior Management to define customized short and long term strategies based on their specific needs and objectives
  • Responsible for the maintenance and delivery of the training content and programs for both new and existing Paladin Employees
  • Establish and sustain effective relationships with pertinent internal employees
  • Monitor the monthly financial statements to ensure the viability of the training budget
  • Organize and deliver the content of internal training courses such as standard first aid/CPR, ABST, CPI and basic security training.
  • Troubleshoot problems and any serious incidents that may occur within the training and development sector
  • Regularly inspect and ensure the accountability of the training content is up-to-date
  • Ensures Senior Management is kept informed of the progress of operations
  • Provides written reports to the Operations Manager as required
  • Ensure students are appropriately informed about corporate policies related to sexual harassment and anti-discrimination initiatives
  • Follow the corporate Code of Ethics, company policies and procedures, and OHS procedures
  • Complete the student assessment reports accurately
  • Maintain confidentiality of student records
  • Consult with industry for assessment and training upgrades when appropriate
  • Contribute to internal reviews and audits when requested to do so
  • Provide flexible learning and assessment strategies which will meet the learning needs of a range of students
  • Give current course information to students and make sure core job requirements are met

  • Experience and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in the field of training and development
  • A graduate degree in education or a commensurate program with complementary experience
  • Experience in course design, development or adult education is preferred
  • Ability to travel out of town periodically for a week at a time is a MUST (Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Crowsnest Pass, etc.)
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally
  • Must have strong leadership, organization and facilitation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to write and present training courses on a professional level
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Preference will be given to applicants certified to teach CPR, Standard First Aid, BSOT, ABST, CPI and any other applicable security training courses
