We require a technically proficient individual to provide expertise in areas related to fuel procurement for our coal-fired generating stations. You will work with a team of specialists working on mining, geology, fuel quality, land issues, hydrology, hydrogeology, and more to facilitate current power station needs while also making important contributions towards future resource requirements. The successful individual in this role will ensure competent design, planning, evaluation and project management for the cost effective supply of fuels to SaskPower's power plants.


Experience and Qualifications

Your specialized history includes a university degree in mining or geological engineering. A civil engineer with relevant experience may be considered. You must be eligible for membership in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan. You have 2 years experience in an industrial or mining environment and you are known for your strong interpersonal and communication skills and you have the ability to coordinate projects in a changing environment. When required you will share your technical expertise with internal employees and external consultants or contractors. Experience with mine modelling using Minex or similar industry related software, AutoCAD and GIS related applications would be considered an asset. Candidates possessing less than required qualifications may also be considered.
