Overview

The Technical Guidance Group at Summit was formed in May of 2011. The Groups initial goals have been to generate company-wide reporting templates and standardized field work protocols in response to the quickly growing demands on the company for reporting standardization and excellence. The Group is responsible for the continuation and maintenance of all work conducted by Summit, which will be done in accordance to applicable regulations and to the ‘Summit Standard’ of excellence. The Groups responsibilities span every step in reclamation and remediation from the Phase I Environmental Site Assessment to Reclamation Certification.

The vision of the Group includes developing and/or incorporating alternative forms of remediation and the evaluation and education of all field technicians to ensure proper field work and excellent report writing. The responsibilities of the Technical Guidance Group will continually be evolving in order to accommodate Summits’ goals to keep up with regulations and newly developing technologies.


Responsibilities

Working knowledge of:
Phase I, Phase II & Phase III Environmental Site Assessments;
Spill Clean-Up;
Detailed Site Assessments;
A strong understanding of the AB regulatory guidelines; and
Reclamation Certification process.

You must be prepared to correct writing and formatting errors on all reports. Additionally, you may be writing the Phase II and III reports upon the submission of information from the Summit Field Technicians.


Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor of Science from a recognized institution (Graduate degree preferred)
2 or more years’ experience as a technical writer
Strong knowledge of AB regulatory guidelines (SK & BC considered an asset)
Strong computer skills
Strong leadership, communication and technical writing skills;
