Situated in northern Manitoba, the UCN Library supports the educational and research programs of the faculty, students and staff across 2 campuses and 12 regional centres.

Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible to manage, store, and disseminate information contained in an organizations archives. The incumbent will acquire, store and research textual materials, pictures, maps, architectural documents, electronic materials, films and videos, sound recordings and multimedia materials. The Records Manager directs operations of records management, forms management, electronic information and image management to ensure information is processed efficiently and effectively. The incumbent must ensure that all legal requirements are followed in retaining records for the organization. Position is subject to final budgetary approval.

Experience and Qualifications The Archivist/Records Manager must have a Master's Degree in archival studies or Library Science with archival specialization. Previous experience would be an asset. Excellent communication skills (both oral and written); managing for results and change; as well as strong interpersonal, organizational, critical thinking, leadership and computer skills are required. Personal experience and/or knowledge and understanding of the Aboriginal culture is essential. The ability to speak an Aboriginal language is an asset.
