Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from conceptual design to final completion
  • Site investigation of building envelope failure
  • Building envelope consultation on new construction
  • Preparation of financial studies / life cycle costing for buildings
  • Formulate building envelope rehabilitation programs and recommend the project concept to the client
  • Coordination with other engineering and architectural disciplines
  • Contract administration/construction review while implementing work
  • Manage team of Engineers and Technologists
  • Develop and maintain client base Skills
  • Diploma/Degree in civil engineering or technology program Candidate Profile
  • Effective and proven leadership skills
  • Fast learner with a desire to grow professionally and personally
  • Team player with ability to work independently with minimum direction
  • Hard worker, ready to assume responsibility quickly and have fun at the same time
  • Inquisitive, clear thinker who can determine what is required and who can draw rational conclusions from information available
  • Demonstrated and effective communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Ability to conceptualize in three dimensions
  • Aptitude for working with existing facilities inspection.     Experience and Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree in civil engineering or technology program.
  • Minimum 5 years previous experience in building science
  • Experience in consulting or contracting firm preferred
