Overview

Engineering firm in the west end of Edmonton is looking for an industrious individual to fill the position of Junior Building Science Design Engineer/Technologist.


Responsibilities

Responsibilities (included but not limited to):

  • Measure/count building components using various measuring tools.
  • Photograph typical building components and areas of concern.
  • Correlate take-off data and costing into report template using MS Word.
  • Complete life cycle costing analysis of building components using MS Excel.
  • Other tasks as required. Your duties will expand as experience permits and may be changed to provide both a challenge and continued growth for you and to best utilize your existing and developing skillset for the benefit of our company. Experience gained will lead to opportunity for advancement in Building Envelope design and inspection.   • Experience and Qualifications

    Skills:

  • Applicants should have 1 to 3 years related work experience and certification as a Technologist (Architectural / Engineering / Civil / or Construction).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel & AutoCad is required.
  • Fast learner with a desire to grow professionally and personally.
  • A keen eye for detail who can determine the work required and can draw conclusions with information available.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Able to give/receive direction.
  • Team player with ability to work independently with minimum direction
