Overview Have you got a strong sales background and good eye for colour? Do you love knowing the latest colour and design trends and want to put this passion into a job? My client is seeking a new team member who has strong sales skills and loves the world of interior design and colour. PLEASE NOTE: This job does pay a $30,000 salary and commission to start, then transitions to full commission. We are a local flooring and design supplier with an exciting opportunity for a sales and design position. This promising opportunity is located in Abbotsford. Our location was previously known under another name which allows you to inherit an established clientele. Our ideal applicant has a strong sales background and a good eye for colour and design; who is willing to learn about the flooring industry if you are not already familiar with it. Skills:

Responsibilities Responsibilities:
Open and close the store according to company procedures
Greet and welcome customers encouraging interaction and relate to applicable flooring products
Inquire about customers' needs and listen to the customer to align their needs with appropriate flooring solution
Request merchandise samples and availability of product from suppliers merchandise for customer demand, or advertised specials.
Record and track samples released to customers and follow up
Accurately measure client homes to determine quantity and prepare detailed quotations according to the measurements
Follow up in the quotation process and close sales
Complete the sales process according to company procedure and follow up with the customer during and after the installation is completed
Promote specific paint brand with all bids and orders
Tint and mix paint according to colour selection and formula
Answer telephones, maintain the office, receive and process payment
Set up advertising signs, pricing and displays of merchandise on shelves, counters, or tables to attract customers and promote sales
Clean display cases, shelves, and aisles

Experience and Qualifications Marketing experience is an asset for this position as well as experience with social media. Compensation will be based on experience but will consist of salary plus commission and lead to full commission.
