Introduction
The Faculty of Law at the University of Calgary is known for its expertise in matters relating to natural resources and the law. In fact, among the five institutes with which the Faculty is affiliated, two are resource-related including the Natural Resources, Energy and Environmental Law Research Group, which promotes 'education, research and publication in the area of natural resources, energy and environmental law,' and the Canadian Institute of Resources Law, which provides 'expertise on legal and policy issues relating to Canada's natural resource.' The Faculty is also partnered with the Alberta Civil Liberties Research Centre, Alberta Law Reform Institute, and Legal Centre for Business and Technology.
