The University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management and Department of Economics jointly offer the Master of Financial Economics (MFE), a full-time, 16-month, non-thesis based program aimed at students who aspire to a career in Finance or a related industry or sector. The Program will provide participants with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to succeed 'in the financial sector' via 'a broad understanding of financial theory and the economic framework upon which that theory is based, both in the classroom and through actual experience working for firms in the financial sector.' Although the Program primarily targets individuals possessing a Bachelor degree in Economics, students who have a 'four-year B.A., B.Sc. or B.Com' degree in any discipline are free to apply for admission 'provided such students have fulfilled requisite courses in economics, mathematics and statistics.'
