Cape Breton UniversityCape Breton University's School of Business, located in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality near Sydney, Nova Scotia, like its parent institution, offers an educational experience which is rooted in the culture, history, and political economy of its home province, in particular, and of the Maritimes, in general. The School aims to create successful but socially responsible and ethical economic and corporate leaders by educating students in the broad functional areas of business, in the particular knowledge of professional business designations, and in the social and ethical obligations of business. The main program offered by the School is the Master of Business Administration in Community Economic Development (CED). Blending the disciplines of business and social sciences with the practice of community economic development, the MBA in CED is a unique program in Atlantic Canada designed primarily for those who work in or plan to find employment in the CED field. Cape Breton University's School of Business also offers over 6 other programs including the Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Business Administration (in Vancouver, BC), Bachelor of Technology Information, Bachelor of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Certificate in Management, Certificate in Professional Development, and Diploma in Business Technology. Additionally, many of the aforementioned programs offer co-operative learning opportunities.
