Three-year MBA - University of Toronto

Joseph L. Rotman School of Management

The Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto offers a 3-year, part-time Master of Business Administration program designed to provide students with a broad understanding of the core areas of business while enabling them to pursue a general MBA or major in 1 of 9 areas of specialization including Brand Management, Consulting, Funds Management, Global Management, Health Sector Management, Human Resource Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Investment Banking, Risk Management and Financial Engineering. Moreover, throughout their studies, students will be exposed to the idea of "Integrative Thinking." The latter is a concept developed by the School which recognizes that appropriate business decisions are complex and 'cannot be made from within narrowly-defined functional, regional or operational boundaries,' and this creates the 'need for managers who can attend simultaneously to a vast array of interconnected variables and related choices.' Thus, the School aims to create such managers by emphasizing a multi-dimensional, multi-disciplinary, and multi-faceted, that is, to use an Integrative Thinking, approach to issues and problems. Classes for the Program will be held in the evening and/or on weekends in order to allow participants to work while they learn. The Rotman School of Management's MBA program is highly regarded by many of the most prominent international business publications; the Financial Times, for instance, has ranked the Program among the top 15 in North America and among the elite 25 in the world.
