Athabasca University's Advanced Graduate Diploma in Project Management (AGD PM) is a 14-month long program, delivered primarily online, designed for individuals with a Master's degree who want 'to pursue further specialization in Project Management.' The primary objective of the AGD PM is to capitalize on the students' existing business management knowledge by furthering their abilities to initiate, plan, execute, and close complex projects with 'confidence, competence and credibility.' Students' success in the AGD PM depends upon demonstrated success in putting theory into practice via examinations and a case study project. To be eligible for admission to the AGD PM, applicants must either possess an Athabasca University MBA or 'a master's degree in business or a discipline with a strong project management orientation...plus at least three years of managerial experience that may include supervisory and professional experience with management level responsibilities.' |
