The University of British Columbia's Sauder School of Business offers the Master of Business Administration Part-time, a 28-month program designed for working professionals who want to maintain full-time employment while learning. The Program will expose participants to a broad 'understanding of key business functional areas and their interdependence,' primarily Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Systems, Managerial Economic, and Statistics, with the aim of creating graduates who possess the 'broad-based, senior-level strategic approach to business decision-making' which is 'necessary to tackle the most complex business issues.' Students will have the opportunity to develop 'expertise across a broad range of key business subjects, linking business theory with business reality through case studies, team projects, guest speakers and problem-based learning' which 'will culminate in a comprehensive industry project' in which students will demonstrate their respective abilities to transfer theory into practice. Moreover, students will be afforded the options to tailor their respective programs towards either a General Management stream or 1 of 7 areas of specialization including Entrepreneurship, Finance, Information Technology and Management, Marketing, Organizational Behavior and Human Resources, Strategic Management, and Supply Chain Management and/or the sub-specialization of International Business.
