The Schulich School of Business at York University offers a PhD in Administration program designed to prepare students for a career as an academic researcher and university-level educator in a particular field of specialization as chosen by each student. Students may concentrate their PhD on 1 of 6 fields of management including Accounting, Finance, Management Policy, Marketing, Operations Management, and Organizational Behaviour; additionally, students may complement their respect programs via 'cross-disciplinary research and coursework outside Schulich in areas such as economics, mathematics, or psychology.' In order to graduate, students must successfully complete a comprehensive examination and propose, research, write, and defend a dissertation/thesis on their respect fields of specialization. The Program must be completed in 6 years, or less, and will include at least 2 years of mandatory residency at York University. |
