The School of Business and Economics (SBE) at Wilfrid Laurier University offers a PhD in Management degree whose primary purpose is to 'develop graduates skilled in research with both theoretical and practical understanding of the complex problems of business management' particularly as it relates with the student's chosen field of interest which will be selected from Financial Economics, Management and Organizational Behaviour, or Operations Management. Candidates must 'pass a comprehensive examination' and research, present, and defend a dissertation/thesis on their field of specialization' in order to be awarded the doctorate degree. Graduates usually 'pursue careers in academia, in the public and private sector' as researchers and or educators in their respective fields of expertise. |
