The University of Guelph is known as being a research-intensive post-secondary institution emphasizing multidisciplinary and collaborative intelligence and whose programs tend to focus on those areas in which it has a distinct advantage. Therefore, the University's College of Management and Economics offers students two graduate-level programs including the Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Food and Agribusiness, in cooperation with the Department of Food, Agricultural, and Resource Economics, and the MBA in Hospitality and Tourism, in partnership with the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, either of which can be completed online or on campus. The Department of Food, Agricultural, and Resource Economics is renowned for its excellence in research in Agricultural Economics 'and service to government and industry organizations in the Canadian and international agri-food sector.' The School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, on the other hand, is highly regarded for its expert faculty most of whom 'are distinguished educators and business executives who have broad experience teaching and working with industry managers.' Regardless of which MBA program one chooses, students are taught the broad, core fundamentals of business along with the specific knowledge of their chosen specialization.

Application Process and Requirements

Grades
Applicants must hold a 4-year undergraduate degree, or its equivalent, with at least a "B-" average in the last two years of study, a general 3-year degree, a diploma, and/or an appropriate professional designation

Work Experience
If the applicant has a 4-year degree then 3 years of industry-related work experience, including managerial responsibilities, are required; otherwise, the applicant will need 5 years of relevant work experience including managerial responsibilities.

Minimum GMAT Score
GMAT is not required but the Admissions Committee reserves the right to request one be taken in certain circumstances.

TOEFL
Minimum acceptable TOEFL scores are 550 on the paper-based test or 213 on the computer-based test.

Tuition Fees
For the on-campus MBA program, tuition is $10,300 per semester; for the online MBA, total program tuition is $41,190

International Tuition Fees
For the on-campus MBA program, tuition is $11,500 per semester; for the online MBA, total program tuition is $45,240.

Deadline
Applications are processed on a rolling basis but space is limited and prospective students are encouraged submit their applications as early as possible.
