MBA and Business Degree Programs at Vancouver Island University MBA Guide MBA Criteria MBA Schools MBA Programs MBA Application Profile of Faculty of Management - Vancouver Island University At its main campus in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Vancouver Island University offers a dual degree graduate-level business program in partnership with the University of Hertfordshire of England. The program includes a Master in Business Administration (MBA) awarded by Vancouver Island University and a Master of Science in International Business awarded by the University of Hertfordshire. Students take the two degrees as one combined program that is 14 months in length (16 months without a business undergraduate degree) and includes a four month internship combined with an applied business project. The program does not have a GMAT score or work experience pre-requisite. Through small classes, close interaction with faculty, projects, case studies and a four month internship the MBA/MScIB is designed to prepare individuals for success as managers in businesses with an international focus. The program has two start dates a year with non-business graduates starting in July and October and business graduates starting in September and Janaury. Vancouver Island University welcomes international students into its business programs, and these learners are eligible for employment in Canada for fourteen months after successful completion of their respective MBA and for fast track immigration.
