April 21, 2006 Source: : http://www.media.uottawa.ca/mediaroom/news_details-e.php?nid=869 Students in health sciences and medicine at uOttawa discuss international health OTTAWA, April 21, 2006 — Almost one hundred students, from both high school and university levels, will gather on April 22 for the uOttawa student International Health Conference. It is an opportunity for young people in the field to increase their role in international health and inspire and educate others on this important issue. Led by international health students and the Ottawa Student Health Initiative, the day-long event will include many prestigious guest speakers with extensive experience in the international field such as noted health researchers Dr. Rachel Thibeault, Dr. Anne McCarthy, Dr. Paul Moroz, Dr. Amir Attaran and Wendy Muckle. It will also feature small group learning and problem solving sessions facilitated by students in medicine, nursing and other health-related programs.
