April 7, 2006 Source: : http://www.brandonu.ca/news/article.asp?A_ID=999 Michael "Pinball" Clemons visits BU for event celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the BU Department of Business Administration BRANDON, MB – On Tuesday, April 4th, 2006 Canadian Football League legend and current Toronto Argonauts coach Michael "Pinball" Clemons visited Brandon University to give an energizing and empowering presentation on leadership and success as part of the Brandon University Faculty of Arts Liberal Arts Speakers’ Series. This special event was been organized in celebration of the Brandon University Department of Business Administration’s 25th Anniversary. Renowned as one of pro football's most electrifying players, Toronto Argonauts running back Michael "Pinball" Clemons was the Canadian Football League's all-time all purpose yardage leader. However, it is his exceptional character, in addition to his outstanding athletic ability, which has made him the remarkable fan favourite he is throughout Canada. Pinball’s tireless community involvement and participation in countless charitable causes exemplify the qualities he possesses, which are so rarely found in today's professional athletes. He now uses his leadership and communication skills as coach of the Toronto Argonauts. Under his leadership, the Argos took the 2004 Grey Cup! Pinball’s presentation held an almost full house at the Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium captivated for 90 minutes as he hopped along the arsms and backs of unoccupied seats, truly making the audience part of the show while he told stories from his career to help illustrate the foue qualities that he says are required of a great leader. After the presntation, Pinball stayed for more than two hours to answer questions from fans in the audience, sign autographs and have pictures taken!
