Did you study or teach music at Brandon University in the last century? If so, come help us celebrate! Anyone who taught or took music courses (whether you graduated or not) is invited for a weekend of fun, music, and memories. There are already more than 240 registrants from the 1940s right up to 2005! From the United States, former students are returning to Brandon from New York and Chicago, Connecticut, Michigan, North Dakota and Redding, California. In Canada, there’s representation coast-to-coast, including especially large numbers from Ontario (e.g. North York, Scarborough, Mississauga, Toronto, London, Hamilton, Ottawa, Orleans, Borden, Deep River, Thunder Bay and Kenora), Saskatchewan (e.g. Regina, Kindersley, Raymore, Swift Current and Saskatoon), Alberta (e.g. Grande Prairie, Calgary and Edmonton) and BC (e.g. Powell River, Kamloops, White Rock and Surrey). From Europe, former faculty and students are returning from the United Kingdom and The Netherlands. Former students from over 20 communities in Manitoba have also registered for the event. Former Directors or Deans who are attending include Lorne Watson, Gordon Macpherson and Lawrence Jones; Bill Gordon and Alan Ehnes will be there; so will Marg Ricoine. Former faculty members who have registered include Isabelle Mills, who taught at BU from 1947 to 1967, Malcolm Tait, Edna Knock, Walter Heckster, Earl Davey and Don Henry, as well as recent retirees Sylvia and Robert Richardson. The reunion promises three extraordinary days of music and memories.
