Throughout Orientation Week, which will be taking place from Monday, Sept. 4, to Saturday, Sept. 9, campus and community partners such as the Brock University Students' Union (BUSU), Brock Off- Campus (BOC), Community Connections and Student Services will be organizing several events and programs on campus and in various locations in St. Catharines, Ont. For more information, please refer to the Brock University Orientation web page at: www.brocku.ca/orientation The following are some of the events planned for 2006 Orientation Week at Brock: Academic Orientation (Wednesday, Sept. 6, 11 a.m. - 12 p.m., and 2 - 3 p.m.) An opportunity for students to meet professors and classmates in their respective faculties and majors. Concert (Wednesday, Sept. 6, 7:30 - 11:00 p.m.) A back to school show for Brock students! Dessert Party (Thursday, Sept. 7, 9 p.m. - 12 midnight) Various delectable sweets and tasty treats as featured by a number of local pastry chefs and restaurants! Barbecue at Port Dalhousie for International Students (Friday, Sept. 8, 2 - 4 p.m.) Sports, music, and great food - all in the splendor of scenic Port Dalhousie! BUSU's Shinerama Shine Day (Saturday, Sept. 9, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.) A chance for students to volunteer around the Niagara Region to raise money to help fight Cystic Fibrosis through Shinerama. All volunteers will receive a free breakfast and lunch, and enjoy a day full of activities.
