Biography of Mr. Eric Herbert Molson

MONTREAL/November 16, 2006 —

Born and raised in Montreal, Eric H Molson has been an active member of the community throughout his lifetime. In addition to serving as Chancellor of Concordia University from 1993 to 2005, Eric is a Director of the Montreal General Hospital Foundation and Corporation, the Canadian Irish Studies Foundation and Vie des Arts.

He has also been a member of the Molson Foundation since 1969.

A Master Brewer, Mr. Molson is currently Chairman of the Board of Molson Coors Brewing Company, and has been working for the Molson brewery since 1959. He has also served the Bank of Montreal as a member of its Board of Directors from 1987 to 2000.

Mr. Molson holds an A.B. in Chemistry from Princeton, and a Master Brewers Certificate from the United States Brewers Academy.

Eric Molson is married with three sons and seven grandchildren, six of whom live in Montreal.Source:
