St. George Street upgrade nearly finished Final stages upcoming

The St. George Street construction project is nearing completion.

This week, the remains of the old asphalt surfacing will be ground off and new pavement will be laid. The surface grinding will be done Friday, Nov. 24 and Saturday, Nov. 25. Motorists and cyclists are urged to use caution and reduce speed as the road surface will be extremely uneven.

Paving is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 26 and Monday, Nov. 27, starting each day at 7.a.m. The work will proceed from north to south between Bloor and College streets. Traffic will be affected but deliveries and parking access will be maintained.
