No injuries in fire at U of T residence

University of
Toronto officials say no one was injured in an Oct. 13 fire that seriously
damaged one room in the student residence at 89 Chestnut St.

The University of Toronto Police Service, the Toronto Fire Department and
EMS teams responded to a call at 12:50 this afternoon regarding a fire on
the tenth floor of the residence. The building was fully evacuated and the
fire quickly extinguished.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Students were allowed to return to the residence at approximately 1:45
p.m.
