UNB Saint John Appoints Director of Athletics, Recreation and Wellness

UNB Saint John is pleased to announce the appointment of David Munro as
Director of the Department of Athletics, Recreation & Wellness (AR&W) at UNB
Saint John.

Mr. Munro is a well known leader on the Saint John campus, serving in AR&W
in a variety of roles since 1990, most recently as Assistant and Acting
Director of the department. He holds Bachelor of Physical Education,
Bachelor of Education and Master of Physical Education degrees from UNB. He
is active in university and community athletic organizations, including the
Atlantic and Canadian Colleges Athletics Association.

Mr. Munro is an experienced varsity coach, recreation administrator and
program coordinator with an active interest in creating athletic and
recreation opportunities for students at all ability levels.

"UNB Saint John is a dynamic place to be right now," says Mr. Munro. "The
campus is really hitting its stride and it is great to be part of it. I’m
looking forward to meeting the challenges ahead as the ARW department
strives to provide quality varsity, club, campus recreation and wellness
experiences for students, faculty and staff, alumni and community partners".
