October 17, 2006

High school
students from around the region and from Ontario will descend on the
Dalhousie campus for an Open House, Friday, October 20th.

The day will feature hands-on demonstrations, lively classroom discussions
and lectures, athletic and recreational challenges, stimulating and
informative displays, and much more. Students, staff and faculty members
will welcome high school students, parents and guidance counsellors and
share what makes Dalhousie the vibrant place that it is.

The Open House will also feature an academic EXPO, a discovery fair
featuring over 70 display booths that will take place in the McInnes Room of
the Student Union Building on University Ave. The EXPO will provide future
students, current students, parents and visitors with a wealth of
information about Dalhousie’s extensive program choices and career
opportunities. They will also learn about new and popular courses, such as
the History of Sexuality, the Rock’n’Roll Era and Beyond, Youth Crime,
Entrepreneurship, Science Fiction and Computer Graphics.
